Second Opinion
Confidence in making the right treatment decision.
A second opinion in cancer care is an independent specialist assessment of an existing diagnosis and treatment plan. It can help patients better understand their diagnosis and evaluate whether the proposed treatment strategy is appropriate. The Cancer Research Centre offers a comprehensive second opinion service in which a team of specialists reviews existing test results and treatment plans. If necessary, we can also help arrange additional examinations in Estonia or abroad.
Our assessments are based on current scientific evidence and internationally recognized treatment guidelines.
When is it worth seeking a second opinion?
A second opinion can help:
- confirm or specify the diagnosis
- evaluate whether the treatment plan complies with the latest treatment guidelines
- identify additional or personalized treatment options
- provide a better overview of the course of the disease and the prognosis
Our assessments are based on current scientific evidence, multidisciplinary expertise, and, where relevant, advanced laboratory and genetic analyses.
The aim is to provide patients with additional expert insight to support informed decisions about their treatment.
